Final details:
The event will begin at 10:30 with the Plough Sunday service at St. Denis Church, Morton-cum-Fiskerton.
After the service, members of Sullivan’s Sword and friends will perform a selection of traditional music and songs in the church.
This will be followed by a brief sword dance performance by Sullivan’s Sword at the village hall (or outside).
Then in Southwell, Sullivan’s Sword will be joined by the following Morris/clog teams:
- Bare Bones Border Morris
- Greenwood Clog
- Lord Conyers Morrismen
- The Maids of Clifton
- Rattlejag
- Ripley Green Garters
There will be displays of traditional dance at The Admiral Rodney and The Final Whistle from 12:15 to 13:45. After a break for lunch all the teams will converge at The Final Whistle from 14:30. Sullivan’s Sword will perform the Farnsfield Plough Play, and then all teams will continue dancing until dark.
This year we are again fundraising for Reach Learning Disability, a charity based in Southwell that supports people with learning disabilities in Nottinghamshire to lead richer and more fulfilling lives.
