The event will begin at 10:30 with the Plough Sunday service at St. Denis Church, Morton-cum-Fiskerton.
After the service, members of Sullivan’s Sword and friends will perform a selection of traditional music and songs in the church.
This will be followed by a brief sword dance performance by Sullivan’s Sword at the village hall (or outside).
Then in Southwell, Sullivan’s Sword will be joined by Bare Bones Morris and others, to provide displays of traditional dance at The Admiral Rodney and The Wheatsheaf from 12:15 to 14:00. After a break for lunch all the teams will converge at The Final Whistle from 14:30. Sullivan’s Sword will perform the Farnsfield Plough Play, and then all teams will continue dancing until dark.
The full programme for the event will be available to download from here soon.
This year we are again fundraising for Reach Learning Disability, a charity based in Southwell that supports people with learning disabilities in Nottinghamshire to lead richer and more fulfilling lives.
